Een tiental brandweerwagens hebben postgevat rond de Lambermont, de ambtswoning van premier Elio Di Rupo (PS) waar momenteel de begrotingsbesprekingen van de federale regering plaatsvinden.
De pompiers willen een ontmoeting met de ministers. “We hebben maar tien minuten nodig om onze zaak uit te leggen. Dat is al wat we willen”, zei de voorzitter van de Franstalige brandweerfederatie FRCSPB, Marc Gilbert. De brandweerlieden zijn bang dat er geen extra financiering wordt voorzien voor hen bij de begrotingsbesprekingen.
“Een ontmoeting met Milquet dient ons tot niks”, legt Gilbert uit. “Ze kent het dossier uit haar hoofd. We willen ons standpunt voorleggen aan de rest van de regering”. (Belga/AVE)
